OnStage Hawaii provided critical production infrastructure for the 2025 IRONMAN World Championship on October 11th, supporting one of endurance sports’ most demanding competitions. The company installed an LED finish line on Ali’i Drive that served as the focal point for thousands of spectators and created a memorable conclusion for athletes completing the 140.6-mile race.

Beyond the finish line, OnStage Hawaii delivered one of the main event stages and comprehensive rigging solutions positioned throughout the course. The installations supported broadcast operations while accommodating spectator viewing areas across the race route, which includes a 2.4-mile swim in Kailua Bay, a 112-mile bike course through lava fields, and a full marathon along the Kona coastline.

The company’s work integrated with Hawaii’s natural landscape while meeting the technical demands of a world championship event. The LED finish line and stage incorporated traditional Hawaiian design elements, creating an environment that honored the island’s culture while serving the needs of a modern international sporting event.

The 2025 women’s championship saw Norway’s Solveig Løvseth claim victory in challenging conditions, with temperatures reaching near 90 degrees. Britain’s Kat Matthews finished second, just 35 seconds behind, while Germany’s Laura Philipp took third. The event marked the final women’s-only championship in Kona before both men and women return to compete together in 2026.

Since 1978, the IRONMAN World Championship has been held in Hawaii, with Kona hosting the event since 1981.
